The Maria Loboda Art Production was commissioned by Galerie Thomas Schulte and developed by CTP – Conversation Taking Place. This project recreates over 40 letter formats—across languages and intents—as part of a sculptural work with Maria Loboda. It explores the tension of what remains unread, inviting viewers to engage with both presence and absence in communication.
The production focuses on the physicality of letters and language, reimagining them as sculptural elements. By presenting diverse letter formats, the work challenges traditional notions of communication. This tension between read and unread creates a compelling dialogue within the exhibition space.
Working closely with Maria Loboda and Galerie Thomas Schulte, CTP crafted visual and spatial elements that complement the sculptural work. The collaboration resulted in an immersive experience, where visual storytelling and spatial design converge to deepen audience engagement.
At CTP, we specialize in projects like Maria Loboda Art Production that merge artistic vision with spatial design. Our multidisciplinary approach ensures that the final exhibition is both conceptually strong and visually impactful.

We’ve analysed and designed over 40+ international letter designs, in 4 different languages, touching the topics of ‘Confidentiality’ ‘Overdue-notifications’ ‘Invoices’ ‘Love letters’ ‘Return to sender’ and such. Commissioned by Galerie Thomas Schulte and in close collaboration with the Artist Maria Loboda, we developed our own specific designs resembling the fear of such letters to be shown within the work of her sculpture ‘Ignore the(…) letters on the (…) furniture’.
Maria Loboda, born in 1979 in Krakow, Poland, composes installations and sculptures to investigate cultural codes, represented by pictorial signs and the grammar of various materials and objects.
Throughout her work, Loboda engages with the historical narratives attributed to certain objects and juxtaposes them with contemporary interpretations and modern references in order to address the transformation of meaning of objects and images, tracing their paths from conveyance to encounter. Her research stems from the fields of poetry and history and leads to a formal equation of language and materiality, whose interactions she examines and uses in order to question what they express beyond their common readings.
Thus, through the deconstruction and reorganization of common forms and symbols, Loboda has become a unique voice in what is described as contemporary archaeology. As a kind of re-enacting of semiotics, Loboda’s works are subversive as well as critical towards power structures. (source: Galerie Thomas Schulte)
