MULTI DIMENSIONAL BEING
This hybrid publication stages a cast of fictional characters drawn from fantasy, tech, and spirituality. Structured with two reading flows, the catalogue design merges final work and source material into a cascading layout that mirrors its conceptual complexity.

The Multi Dimensional Being Catalogue Design was commissioned by CTP – Conversation Taking Place for the eponymous exhibition. This project created a modular catalogue that supports artwork proliferation, spatial narrative, and archival clarity.
The catalogue was designed around a modular grid that adapts to the exhibition’s multiplatform installations. Pages include full-bleed images, detailed captions, and fold-out sections that mirror the exhibition flow. Because works appear in multiple formats, the design accommodates format shifts without losing visual coherence.
The Multi Dimensional Being Catalogue Design uses dynamic layout structures and colour-coded sections, so readers can navigate the exhibition sequence and thematic chapters with ease.
Each artwork entry combines title, image, year, and medium in a consistent format, and context notes appear in sidebars that support deeper engagement. Visual hierarchy is reinforced through type scale, spacing, and colour accents, while archival metadata remains accessible but unobtrusive.
Although content-rich, the design maintains a calm reading experience, because visual rhythm and minimal typography balance density.
A fold-out section reproduces the main gallery layout, so readers can follow the physical flow on the page. This spatial mirror enhances orientation and memory, while print dimensions support readable reproduction.
Pagination and sequencing were developed with the curatorial team, so each spread feels intentional, and exhibition logic remains consistent.
CTP delivered templates for print and PDF formats, ensuring that updates can be made easily in future editions. The layout system supports expansion, while format resets keep the archive coherent.
We built the toolkit on scalable masters, so each chapter or artwork section can be updated independently, although the core visual system remains intact.
At CTP, we specialize in catalogue and publication design for exhibitions and archival contexts. If your project requires modular layouts, visual hierarchy, and scalable formatting, our systems provide structure and adaptability.
We collaborate with curators, writers, and production teams to ensure both narrative integrity and visual clarity.

Catalogue designed on the occasion for Ayscha Z. Omar’s exhibition of Multi Dimensional Being.
The work depicts and creates a set of fictional characters, somewhere based within and between fantasy, tech, imagination, spirituality, entrepreneurship.
The book offers two different ways of reading. It mixes the destined creation of work, woven together with its source material in a tech like cascade style sheet.
